Out To Lunch 04:13
False prophets Making profits While screwing you From their bubble Causing trouble Making life Tough for you Back breakers Money takers Pick a pocket Or two Selfish dreamers Great schemers You find yourself doing what They want you to do Tiny tin gods Hooks on steel rods Make believe scraps Are gifts for you And we oblige And we comply I don’t know why. Do you? They’re a cult and They’re a curse Think they’re the centre Of the universe It’s getting worse They have a thirst To suck your blood And leave you Black and blue It’s nothing new (it’s as old as the hills) It’s nothing new (just a different drill) They twist the truth Get you confused Make believe They’re smarter than you Don’t be tricked By these cliques By these ruthless, Heartless Brutes They’ll hold the line They won’t resist They’re ambition Takes the piss They will fight They will persist They’re obsessed To make their wish Come true “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” (Abraham Lincoln) Out to lunch Out to lunch I hear them preach Don’t hear them teach They’re out of reach They’re out to lunch Look in their eyes Look at their smiles You’ll see their guise They’re out to lunch Out to lunch Out to lunch Out to lunch Out to lunch... (We have a vision For the common good Now is the time not to be selfish We are in this together Listen to what we are saying Now is the time to be selfless Now is the time to work together Listen to what we are saying Listen to what we are saying We have a vision For the common good We have a vision For the common good, Yummy, yummy. We care about you)

Lately 02:48
Lately I feel so scared Feels like I'm somewhere I shouldn't be These are strange times Feels like I have died I'm in the dark mind of someone crazy Maybe Something can save me I will be set free from my disease More love More understanding Another way to be Lately I feel so scared Feels like I'm somewhere I shouldn't be

So much confusion, so much unrest An abomination, a bloody mess So much corruption, so many lies Needless destruction, wasted lives What a bloody mess What a bloody mess All this information being pumped into our brains It’s such an intrusion, it can drive you insane If you want inclusion , well you better play the game Don’t raise any objections or you’ll be shamed What a bloody mess What a bloody mess Monopolies, rich elites putting on the squeeze Slippery, rickety ideologies Pomposity, opacity, insincerity Puppetry, treachery, hypocrisy and sleaze It’s all deception, smokescreens and spiel A wicked illusion in which we’ve been wheedled It was only compassion why The Buddha turned back He knew our condition is a hard nut to crack It’s been going on for so long This shit’s been going on for so long It’s been going on for so long This shit’s been going on for so long It’s been going on for so long This shit’s been going on for so long It’s been going on for so long This shit’s been going on for so long Will it ever Will it ever... Stop? What a bloody mess What a bloody mess What a bloody mess What a bloody mess

There comes a time when you stop dreaming And it's hard to find something to believe in And you're left wondering what to do When you realise what's in your mind's an illusion Do you drop the disguise to see what's behind the curtain And start wondering who are you?

It’s time to use your bow and arrow And aim straight at the bull No more sport for pleasure Gotta go in for the kill You can’t take any half measures You can’t blink an eye Or be affected by the weather No, no, no, you can’t let it fly I said, no, no, no, don’t you let it No, no, no. don’t you let it Don’t you let it fly You’ve gotta make sure that you’re ready Know you’ll be called a crazy fool You’ve gotta be headstrong and steady Remember pride comes before a fall Don’t be pulled in by distractions Don’t get caught up in sides Look at the whole and not fractions Keep a close watch on what’s happening inside No, no, no, don’t you let it No, no, no. don’t you let it Don’t you let it fly You’ll find reasons and excuses You’ll find something to be justified But only you are being cheated Only you are being chastised Shine a light on this darkness Don’t pull the wool over your eyes Don’t look for answers but guidance Find you own way to the other side It’s time to use your bow and arrow It’s time to pinpoint the lies And watch these glass walls shatter Watch theses waves subside No, no, no, don’t you let it No, no, no. don’t you let it Don’t you let it fly No, no, no, don’t you let it No, no, no. don’t you let it Don’t you let it fly

I stayed a seed I did not grow Spent my life in darkness Waiting for the light to show I let my thoughts take me I took them for real I dreamt who I could be And my fate was sealed I was waiting on a dream I was waiting on a dream I stayed a ghost I could not be seen All I saw around me Were shadows on a screen I never knew who I was Or if I had been For I was always dreaming Who I could be I was waiting on a dream I was waiting on a dream Waiting on a dream Waiting on a dream Waiting on a dream Waiting on a dream...

I'm weighed down by these streets The clouds are hanging low I'm walking in my sleep With nowhere to go Round and round in circles Like some heavy ghost I'm haunted by and haunting This hostile host It's a lonesome town A cold, dark town A town the sun has forgot I feel the Smokey air Stick to me like glue I hear the buildings groan And hear some crying too I see these things around me But they don't seem to be Feels like death in disguise Don't feel like life to me It's a lonesome town A cold, dark town A town the sun has forgot I guess I better be leaving Before it gets under my skin Before I start believing This is how you live Before I feel nothing Before I cannot see Before I turn into someone I believe is me It's a lonesome town A cold, dark town A town the sun has forgot

Won’t you show me the map That details the path Between the concrete and the air From the hues of insight To the dusty moonlight Through the shades of despair And as that map disintegrates The land will melt away Depiction’s Kinda funny That way In these hollowed out hours Beneath psychic towers That we hang from the sky We perform our passions Measure reactions Only in order to deny That as the map disintegrates The land will melt away Depiction’s Kinda funny that way At the heart of the maze the monster resides A howling residue of the pain inside So you try to lay a thread to lead your way back And that thread represents everything you lack And the thread gets so tight you can’t comprehend Where the thread begins and the monster ends Cause they are one and the same They are one and the same One and the same They are one and the same (Words by Simon Hayward)

Gentle Jim had the patience of a saint There was so much that he could tolerate Yes, he knew that life wasn’t fair But they managed, just about, To keep out of his hair But now they’ve pushed him too far Though he saw them chilled in fine tailored suits He was always aware of their steel capped boots So he found ways to keep them from his door But these greedy wolves just had to have more And now they’ve pushed him too far It started with a prick, then a prod, then a shove And they kept on pushing until he’d had enough And venting the spleen of a mild mannered man Results in a wrath you can’t even imagine They pushed him too far He just wanted a quiet, simple life Not to bother or be bothered, you know, be nice But now they don’t even give him a crumb, let alone a slice And they wonder why they’re in this fight Oh, they pushed him too far General Jim stood alone on the frontline The neighbours at first thought he had lost his mind But his booming voice, clear and concise Soon attracted the ears of other mice You see, they pushed them too far If you give choices no one wants to choose Don’t be surprised when they refuse And if you take everything it’s the end of you Because those with nothing have nothing to lose They pushed them too far The crowd is loud and the crowd is large They're not here for a party, they’re ready to charge And there’s General Jim standing strong and tall Only last year he did not exist at all But they pushed him too far Yeah, the likes of Jim were not seen or heard So no one knew the power of their words And now they’re getting what they deserve If only they hadn’t kept piling on the dirt They pushed them too far It started with a prick, then a prod, then a shove And they kept on pushing until he’d had enough And venting the spleen of a mild mannered man Will result in a wrath you can’t even imagine They pushed him too far

I should always be in wonder To have this chance to be Before I go back under Before I am released Look at what has been given A brief moment in time With this mechanism This body, this mind For so long I was hidden There was no mystery Am I someone else's vision? Is this all a dream? I should always be in wonder To be something in this space I should really surrender I should really say grace I know one day I'll have to let it go That it will all turn to dust So I'll try to be careful what I sew I'll try hard not to bluff I should always be in wonder To have this chance to be Before I go back under Before I am released
