I've met many pseudo-intellectuals, but no one quite like this
he wanted to change his name to Mallarmé Arthur Bauderlaire
but his parents would not let him, so he settled on Petér

he wears a black beret and small round glasses even though his sight is fine
always got a book in his hand with a very, very, very creased bind
it's usually philosophy or poetry by an author with a foreign name
he keeps a notebook in his pocket in case an idea pops in his brain

He throws in bits of french and latin in the letters that he sends
he would like to use a quill and ink, but makes do with a fountain pen
he likes to stay up all night long watching foreign films on tv
spends the weekends in cheap cafés, smoking thin cigars and drinking black coffee
